On Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at approximately 6:35 PM, an Upper Allen Police Officer was conducting a traffic stop on US Route 15 southbound, near mile marker 36.7. As traffic safely moved to the left lane while passing the traffic stop, the operator of a Dodge Caravan failed to recognize that traffic had slowed. The Dodge Caravan rear-ended a blue Acura Integra, causing injuries to both vehicle operators.

The left lane of US Route 15 was blocked due to the disabling damage sustained by the minivan. The backlog of traffic this created resulted in a secondary crash approximately one mile behind the initial crash. The Upper Allen Police would like to remind all motorists to remain vigilant for suddenly changing traffic conditions and allow plenty of space in front of their vehicles at all times.

The Upper Allen Police were assisted at the scene by the Upper Allen Fire Department, Upper Allen Fire Police, and Life Lion EMS.
