On February 24, 2012 an investigation began into a series of Fast Food Restaurant robberies and burglaries with the arrest of Maurice Davis, an alleged accomplice of Sharef Flounoy. Davis was arrested by Upper Allen Police while fleeing the scene of a burglary at Arby’s, 240 Cumberland Parkway, Mechanicsburg (ORIGINAL NEWS RELEASE). After a a six-month investigation, Upper Allen Police filed charges for nine (9) additional robberies and burglaries of fast food restaurants in Cumberland, Dauphin and York Counties against both Flounoy and Davis. The crime spree ranged from December 2011 thru February 2012. Many of the crimes occurred or were attempted by breaking a window to the restaurant during the overnight hours, with the plan to wait inside until until the arrival of employees. Occasionally, employees were accosted outside prior to entering. The employees were then robbed for available cash on hand, which in most cases amounted to little or none available.

On July 7, 2012 Davis was charged with the additional crimes and remains in Cumberland County Prison under $500,000 bail.

On August 23, 2012 Flounoy was located and arrested at a residence in Carlisle, PA with the assistance of Carlisle Borough Police. Flounoy was transported to Cumberland County Prison where he remains under $250,000 bail. A preliminary is scheduled for both on August 27, 2012 before District Judge Donald Howell.
