On September 22 at 6:18 PM, Upper Allen Police were dispatched to the 600 block of Cumberland Pointe CR for a pedestrian that was struck by a small motorcycle. The vehicle was a “Razor” electric mini-bike operated by a juvenile male that lived in the neighborhood. The pedestrian that was struck is also a neighborhood juvenile who had been playing in the parking lot. The mini-bike struck the pedestrian sending him into the air and upon landing on the ground he sustained an injury to his left leg. The operator of the mini-bike was not injured in the crash and it was determined the crash was accidental in nature.
This particular style mini-bike is considered a “motor vehicle” and is not to be driven on a highway unless registered according to Penn Dot regulations.
Upper Allen Police were assisted on scene by the West Shore EMS.
