On March 10, 2013 local fire departments responded to a fire on the property of the Mechanicsburg Cemetery in the 800 block of S. York Street, Upper Allen Township. The fire originated at or near a rocky area in a wooded area at the rear of the Cemetery where juveniles are known to hang out. The fire burned an area of approximately 4,000 square feet before being extinguished. Anyone with information related to the incident is encouraged to call Upper Allen Police at 717-238-9676.
