Upper Allen Police to Target Aggressive Drivers

July 1, 2014

With the Independence Day weekend approaching, the Upper Allen Police Department announces that officers will be conducting additional enforcement patrols focusing on Aggressive Drivers. Officers will be targeting those motorists who are exhibiting aggressive-driving behaviors such as speeding, tailgating, and failing to stop for red traffic signals.

Speeding and other aggressive-driving behaviors are among the leading factors in crashes on Pennsylvania roadways. The additional enforcement patrols will be conducted on roadways in Upper Allen Township where crash data indicate a majority of aggressive-driving related crashes occur. The Upper Allen Police Department was one of 108 police departments across Pennsylvania to receive additional funding through this special enforcement initiative.
