Possessing Instruments of the Crime
On June 15, 2014 several construction trailers were broken into in the 800 block of Tolman Street in the Orchard Glen Development off East Winding Hill Road, Upper Allen Township. A suspect was developed when tools matching those stolen were found listed for sale on the internet. Police then arranged for an undercover officer to meet with Babner to buy some of the stolen equipment. Police worked with the victim and verified that Babner was in possession of the stolen tools. During the investigation, police found more of the stolen tools at Babner’s residence and a pawn shop in Lebanon County where Babner had already liquidated some of them. Police obtained an arrest warrant for Babner who turned himself in to police on July 1, 2014. A preliminary hearing will be held before District Judge Mark Martin at a later date.
