Upper Allen Police are investigating a missing person report received on October 12, 2014. Fred Atwood left Upper Allen Township sometime Tuesday, October 7 and was likely heading towards Emporium or Williamsport. Atwood’s vehicle was found by the Pennsylvania State Police on October 10 along a highway near Mansfield, PA. The vehicle was unoccupied and Atwood’s whereabouts are unknown.

10/16/2014 UPDATE: Fred Atwood has been found deceased in the Tioga State Forest. The cause of death has been ruled accidental.
