On Sunday, November 9th, 2014 at about 6:30 PM, the Upper Allen Police Department responded to a crash involving an overturned vehicle in the northbound travel lanes of US Route 15 near Grantham Road. An investigation at the scene determined that an unidentified pickup truck pulling a trailer, lost a mattress while traveling northbound on US Route 15. Dozier was following behind the trailer and attempted to avoid the mattress. This resulted in his vehicle crashing into the concrete median and overturning. The driver of the pickup truck did not stop to provide information or render aid. Upper Allen Police are actively seeking the identity of the pickup truck operator. Four of the five occupants of the vehicle were injured and transported by West Shore EMS to Hershey Medical Center for treatment; two of the injured passengers were children. All northbound traffic was diverted in Dillsburg as US Route 15 was closed until the crash scene was cleared. Upper Allen Police were assisted at the scene by Carroll Township Police, Upper Allen Fire Department and Dillsburg Fire Department.
