Multiple Upper Allen Township residents reported receiving phone calls regarding a chimney cleaning scam. The phone calls typically involve a claim that a scheduled appointment was missed, and that the company would arrive on Monday to fulfill the obligation. The male caller usually becomes agitated and very pushy when questioned about the phone call. The calls have provided the number 717-555-6769. The calls are have been happening multiple locations outside of Upper Allen Township as well.
The Upper Allen Police remind residents not to provide any personally identifiable information to any entity soliciting that you did not initiate contact with or that has not been otherwise verified.
