In May 2010, while Alvarado was employed at a nursing facility in Upper Allen Township, she stole a credit card from a resident at the facility. Alvarado then used the card at various retail establishments in the Harrisburg area. On June 17, 2010 Upper Allen Police served a search warrant at Alvarado’s residence and recovered some of the items purchased with the stolen card to include a swimming pool, electronics and clothing.
A warrant was obtained and Alvarado turned herself in to police on June 13, 2010. Alvarado was arraigned before District Judge Mark Martin and released on $2,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 2, 2010 before Judge Martin.
