During the early morning hours of June 28, 2012 Upper Allen Police assisted Holy Spirit Hospital Crisis Intervention in serving a mental health warrant in the 1100 block of Floribunda Lane. A family member sought assistance from the hospital and the police department. The patient ultimately was taken into custody without injury and was transported to a treatment facility by West Shore EMS. During the incident a fire was observed inside the residence on the second floor. The Upper Allen Township Fire Department as well as other fire departments responded to extinguish the blaze. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Upper Allen Police were assisted by Mechanicsburg Borough Police with the warrant service.
