The Upper Allen Police Department is constantly adopting new equipment and standards to better protect our citizens. The modern police cruiser is nothing short of an officer’s mobile office. Hands-free cellular telephones, computers, wireless data modems, encrypted digital radios, emergency lighting and siren systems all assist the officer in carrying out the police mission. Our cruisers also carry common tools and equipment such as fire extinguishers, road flares and measuring devices.
Today’s law enforcement officers face new and evolving challenges such as terrorism and school violence. While the details surrounding some of our equipment and weaponry are confidential, the residents and visitors of Upper Allen Township can gain piece of mind knowing that we are equipped to face these challenges.
