On November 6, 2013 Upper Allen Police were in the area of the Geneva Greens apartment complex conducting an unrelated investigation. While in the area, officers could smell the odor of marijuana coming from Pierce’s apartment, where Henry also resides. Police obtained a search warrant for the apartment and subsequently discovered marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Both Henry and Pierce were charged. On December 23, 2013, a preliminary hearing was held before District Judge Mark Martin and the charges on both were bound over to the Court of Common Pleas.

Upper Allen Man Arrested For Domestic Assault

On Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 10:31 PM, Upper Allen Police were dispatched to the 600 block of Cedar Ridge Lane for an active domestic assault. An investigation revealed that Mohsin threatened to kill a family member and then attacked the victim with a shard of glass causing the victim to sustain an injury. Mohsin was arrested at the scene and transported to Cumberland County Prison. A preliminary hearing will be held on a later date.

On Friday, December 20 at 1:06 PM, Upper Allen Police responded to a two vehicle crash at the intersection of South Market Street and Cumberland Parkway. An investigation revealed that Panuccio turned left in front of Mengel while in the intersection, causing the crash. Panuccio sustained an unknown injury and was transported by on-scene EMS. Police were assisted at the scene by the Upper Allen Fire Department, Upper Allen Fire Police, and West Shore EMS.

Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or Controlled Substance

On December 20, 2013 at 7:39 PM, Upper Allen Police were dispatched to the 500 block of Gettysburg Road for a vehicle crash. An investigation revealed that Barrett was involved in a single vehicle crash where she drove her vehicle down an embankment. Barrett was not injured as a result of the crash but she did display signs of intoxication. Barrett was arrested for DUI and transported to the Cumberland County Prison for processing. A preliminary hearing will be held on a later date.

Upper Allen Home Robbery Suspect Arrested in Philadelphia

On November 5, 2013, residents of a Geneva Greens apartment on Geneva Drive in Upper Allen Township had been out for the evening. When they arrived home, they found two armed suspects in the residence. The victims were held at gun point for approximately 30-60 minutes. During that time they were forced to call other family members home, who were then also held at gunpoint until the suspects finished their robbery. The suspects then fled the area. Some of the items they had stolen included a laptop computer, jewelry, and cash.

Upper Allen Township Police investigated the incident and were able to identify Justin Matthews, as one of the suspects and an arrest warrant was obtained. Police believed that Matthews had fled to the Philadelphia area and on 12/12/2013, the US Marshals Task Force took Matthews into custody without incident in Philadelphia. At the time Matthews was in possession of some of the stolen items. Upper Allen Township Police were assisted by the United States Marshals, the Lower Paxton Township Police Department, and the Philadelphia Police Department.

Matthews will be transported back to Cumberland County for arraignment on 12/13/2013 and a preliminary hearing will be scheduled for a later date at Magisterial District Judge Martin’s Office.

Upper Allen Resident Arrested in Heroin Seizure

On December 10, 2013 at approximately 7:30 AM, members of the Cumberland County Drug Task Force, the Upper Allen Township Police Department and Cumberland County Special Response Team served a search warrant on a residence in the 1000 block of Nanroc Drive. The search warrant resulted in the seizure of approximately $9,000 of heroin, $300 of marijuana, two handguns, a vehicle and assorted drug paraphernalia. Edward Ramos was taken into custody at the scene and charged with the above offenses. He remains in Cumberland County Prison under $250,000 bail. Officers were also assisted by the Lower Allen Township Police K9 unit. Ramos is currently on Federal Probation for prior drug offenses.

Pedestrian Struck on Geneva Drive

On December 9, 2013 at approximately 2:40 PM, Upper Allen Police responded to a crash involving a vehicle that had struck a pedestrian at the intersection of Geneva Drive at Paris Drive. Fisher was traveling westbound in her vehicle on Geneva Drive while Quenzler was crossing the street on foot. Quenzler was injured as a result of the crash and taken to Holy Spirit Hospital by EMS. The Upper Allen Police Department was assisted by the Upper Allen Fire Department, West Shore EMS, the Lower Allen Police Department, and the Upper Allen Fire Police.

On December 5, 2013 at approximately 12:30 PM the Upper Allen Police Department responded to East Lisburn Road near the intersection of McCormick Road for a reported crash. An investigation determined that Brown lost control of his vehicle while negotiating a turn and struck Davis’ vehicle, which was traveling in the opposite direction. Ellison, who was traveling directly behind Brown, also lost control of her vehicle and subsequently struck Davis’ vehicle. One passenger in Ellison’s vehicle sustained minor injury but did not require medical attention on the scene. Ellison’s vehicle and Davis’ vehicle required towing as a result of the crash.

Mother Arrested for Assaulting her Daughter

On December 1, 2013 at 4:23 PM, Upper Allen Police responded to a non-active assault that occurred at an apartment in the Geneva Greens apartment complex. The investigation revealed that Theasha Boyd was involved in an argument with her juvenile daughter. During the argument, Boyd pushed her daughter several times which resulted in the daughter falling onto a couch and causing injury. The daughter was transported to the hospital for treatment. At the conclusion of the investigation, Boyd was arrested for domestic violence related offenses and transported to the Cumberland County Prison for processing and arraignment. A preliminary hearing will be scheduled for a later date.

Motorcyclist Sustains Minor Injury in Crash

On December 1, 2013 at 1:28 PM Upper Allen Police were dispatched to the intersection of Gettysburg Pike and Grantham Road for a crash involving a motorcycle and sedan. Liddick was on his motorcycle on Gettysburg Pike and was stopped at the intersection facing South. Berry was in her sedan and on Grantham Road at the stop sign. Berry began turning left and cut the turn too close to Liddick, striking his motorcycle. Liddick sustained a minor injury, but was not transported for medical care. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.
