On July 26, 2023 at approximately 6:50 PM, Upper Allen Police were dispatched to a local park after a young child was located in the park with no adult supervision. Maddox was determined to be the child’s mother and a joint investigation with Children & Youth Services began. On August 2, 2023 at approximately 7:20 PM, Upper Allen Police were dispatched to a home in the 2700 block of Mill RD after this same child had been found wandering the area without any supervision. Based on the established course of conduct, criminal charges were brought against Maddox and a warrant for her arrest was issued and served. A preliminary hearing was held on September 14, 2023, and the case was bound over to the Cumberland County Court of Common Pleas.
