On June 4, 2024 at approximately 9:00 AM, the Upper Allen Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Nanroc Drive after two young children were located along the road with no adult supervision. McElroy was eventually determined to be the children’s mother and a joint investigation with Children & Youth Services began. Based on the established course of conduct, criminal charges were brought against McElroy and a warrant for her arrest was issued and served. McElroy was arraigned on the charges and a preliminary hearing was scheduled for a later date.
