On February 25, 2024, just after midnight, the Upper Allen Police investigated a hit-and-run crash on US Route 15 northbound in the area of the PA Turnpike. The investigation determined that Ryan Moody was the operator of the striking vehicle that fled the scene. The operator of the vehicle struck by Moody sustained injuries as a result of the crash. On Thursday, July 11, 2024, a preliminary hearing was scheduled before MDJ Mark Martin. Moody waived the preliminary hearing and the charges were bound over to Cumberland County Court.
