On Friday, January 3, 2025, Upper Allen Police were called to the report of a multiple vehicle crash on US Route 15 North in the area of S Market Street. The investigation determined that the operator of a tractor trailer was traveling too fast for the conditions on US Route 15, lost control of his vehicle, and collided with the center guardrail median. The guardrail struck a Nissan Maxima that was traveling in the opposing lanes while debris struck at least two other passing vehicles. The operator of the Nissan Maxima suffered injuries and was transported to the hospital by Life Lion EMS. The affected section of US Route 15 was closed for several hours but is now reopen. Upper Allen Police were assisted on scene by the Upper Allen Fire Department.
