On Friday, August 18, 2023, Upper Allen Police investigated an attempt to negotiate a fraudulent check at a local bank. The investigation identified Latasha Black as the suspect and revealed that she had altered the check to reflect a significantly higher amount. Black fled when she was questioned by the bank clerk. A warrant for Black’s arrest was issued. Pursuant to the arrest warrant, she was taken into custody in Tennessee and extradited back to Cumberland County, PA. On Thursday, May 8, 2025, Black waived her right to a preliminary hearing and the charges were bound over to the Court of Common Pleas.
