On Friday, May 23, 2025, just after 1:00 PM, the Upper Allen Police responded to US Route 15 southbound, near the Cumberland Parkway exit for a two-motorcycle crash with injuries. The investigation determined that the operator of the pictured black motorcycle had to slow unexpectedly due to backed-up traffic ahead. As he did so, he moved to the left to avoid another motorcycle in front of him. The operator of the silver motorcycle, traveling behind the black one, was also forced to slow unexpectedly but was unable to avoid the black motorcycle’s evasive movements. The silver motorcycle rear-ended the black motorcycle, causing both to crash in the roadway.
Both motorcycle riders sustained injuries and were transported to an area hospital for evaluation. Traffic was delayed on US Route 15 for approximately 35 minutes while the crash scene was cleared. Upper Allen Police were assisted at the scene by the Upper Allen Fire Department, the Upper Allen Fire Police, Life Lion EMS, and Lower Allen Township EMS.
