The Upper Allen Police responded to a single vehicle crash on US Route 15 North just north of the South Market Street overpass on February 18, 2018 at 8:08 AM. The investigation revealed that the operator lost control of the vehicle due to hitting an icy patch or slush along the roadway. The vehicle then struck the center guide rail several times before coming to rest against the guide rail. The vehicle suffered disabling damage and had to be towed from the scene. The operator reported being injured as a result of the crash and was transported by ambulance to Holy Spirit Hospital.
