Employment Opportunity – Administrative Assistant

Upper Allen Township is seeking candidates for the Police Department Administrative Assistant position. Upper Allen Township Police Department is a full-service accredited Municipal Police Department serving the 19,000 residents and business in the Township. The Administrative Assistant provides support in all administrative tasks of the Police Department.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with word processing and data entry
  • Above average typing skills
  • Above average understanding of computer systems, both hardware and software
  • Current driver’s license
  • Ability to pass background checks for criminal justice database clearances

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to work independently to complete assigned projects
  • Ability to become a systems administrator of agency computer systems
  • General concept of the Criminal Justice System, Crimes Code and Vehicle Code
  • Ability to exercise good judgement, courtesy and tact in human relations contact with the public, Township employees, and other Law Enforcement Agencies.
