Upper Allen Police to Participate in Nationwide Seat Belt Enforcement Campaign

The Upper Allen Police Department is participating in the 2018 “Click It or Ticket” Municipal Enforcement Mobilization which will include a combination of enforcement and public awareness to increase seat belt use, save lives and reduce injuries. During the next three weeks over 315 Pennsylvania Municipal Law Enforcement Agencies and thousands of police departments across the nation will be taking part.

As part of the initiative, on May 21, 2018, at 4:00 PM, Upper Allen Police will join other agencies from 24 other states across the nation in mobilizing the Click It or Ticket “Border to Border” Operation. High Visibility Enforcement on highways and interstates will be completed to address low seat belt use.

Buckle-Up PA and the Upper Allen Police Department believe that strong enforcement is the key to success of this mobilization. Traffic Enforcement Zone Details and Roving Patrols will be used to conduct seat belt enforcement. As part of the program, Upper Allen Police will be doing “0” tolerance on all safety belt violations in an attempt to persuade the remaining 14% of non-users to buckle up and increase seat belt use.
