On Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at approximately 7:45 am, the Upper Allen Police responded to a three-vehicle crash which occurred on US Route 15 north at mile marker 37.2. The investigation revealed that all three vehicles were traveling in the left lane of US Route 15 when traffic began to slow due to regular morning congestion. Partly due to the dense morning fog, McCombs did not see the slowing traffic and was unable to stop her vehicle in time. McCombs’ vehicle struck the rear end of Wagner’s vehicle, which then struck the rear end of O’Connor’s vehicle. McCombs and Wagner’s vehicles both needed to be towed from the scene due to the damage. McCombs and Wagner were both evaluated on scene by Geisinger Holy Spirit EMS for potential injuries and then transported to an area hospital for further evaluation. O’Connor was not injured. Police were assisted at the scene by the Upper Allen Fire Department and Geisinger Holy Spirit EMS. The Upper Allen Police would like to remind all motorists to remember to leave adequate stopping distance between themselves and the vehicle in front – especially during inclement weather.
