On Monday, August 23, 2021 at approximately 8:31 p.m., Upper Allen Township Police received a report of a vehicle driving in the opposing lane of travel. Upper Allen Police located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle operated by Jason Bangert. An investigation determined that Bangert was operating the vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance. Jones and his passenger, Terrence Williams, were also found to be in possession of a spring-loaded switchblade, methamphetamine, cocaine, and related drug paraphernalia. Both Bangert and Williams were placed under arrest and transported to Cumberland County Central Booking for processing. On Monday, October 4, 2021, Bangert waived his right to a preliminary hearing. However, Williams did not appear and a hearing in absentia was held. All charges were bound over to the Cumberland County Court of Common Pleas.
