On May 30, 2011 at 12:13 PM, Shelly was beginning to turn left onto Grantham Road while traveling west on West Lisburn Road. Hobaugh, operating a motorcycle, was traveling east on West Lisburn Road. Shelly saw Hobaugh approaching and discontinued his left turn and remained in the westbound travel lane. It appears that Hobaugh, anticipating a crash, lost control of his motorcycle and fell off of the bike. Hobaugh then slid into the front of Shelly’s stopped vehicle. Hobaugh was taken by ambulance to Hershey Medical Center, his condition was unknown at the time of this press release.
Police were assisted at the scene by Upper Allen Fire Department, Upper Allen Fire Police, West Shore and Lower Allen EMS.
