Burglary Reported on S. Market Street

On July 2, 2020, the Upper Allen Township Police Department received a residential burglary report in the 1700 block of South Market Street. The victim reported that sometime between between midnight and 6:00 am on July 2nd, that an unknown person entered their residence and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. Testing Rescheduled for the Position of Police Officer

The Upper Allen Police Department has joined with the Cumberland County Police Testing Consortium, a cooperative testing opportunity for those interested in a law enforcement career. This single testing process allows individuals to apply and test one time for all the participating police agencies. There is only one application fee associated with this test. A website dedicated to the consortium will be the primary method of distributing information related to the test. Please visit http://www.cumberlandcountypolicetest.com for more information. Upper Allen Township is committed to maintaining a current eligibility list but has not committed to hiring at this time.

The 2020 test was originally scheduled for March 28th & 29th. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the test has been rescheduled to August 1st & 2nd, 2020. Existing applicants need not reapply. New applications are being accepted until July 24, 2020.

Multiple Overnight Burglaries in Orchard Glen and Winding Hills

The Upper Allen Township Police Department is looking for information regarding burglaries and thefts from vehicles that occurred during the overnight hours from the evening of June 15 to the morning of June 16, 2020 and from the evening of June 16 to the morning of June 17, 2020 in the Orchard Glen and Winding Hills neighborhoods. Police request residents to review video cameras or video doorbells that may have captured suspicious person(s) during these times. Police Seek Assistance Identifying a Hit-and-Run Vehicle

The Upper Allen Police are attempting to identify a vehicle that was involved in a hit-and-run crash on Monday, June 15, 2020 at approximately 3:30 PM. The crash occurred in the 1000 block of East Lisburn Road. The suspect vehicle is most like a blue SUV with damage to the passenger side mirror. The suspect vehicle would have been driving east on East Lisburn Road.

Beagle Found on Mt. Allen Drive

On June 15, 2020 at approximately 1:00 PM the Beagle pictured above was found on Mt. Allen Dr near Kim Acres Dr. The beagle was not wearing a collar. Anyone with information about the dog’s owner is asked to call Upper Allen Police at 717-238-9676.
