GPS Stolen from Unlocked Vehicle

On January 17, 2011 Upper Allen Police were dispatched to the 900 block of Wakefield Avenue for the report of a non-active vehicle break in. The victim reported that a Magellan Maestro 3100 GPS device (serial number 0719403961541) had been stolen from the vehicle overnight. Police Search for Hit And Run Driver

January 3, 2011

On Monday January 3, 2011 at approximately 5:45 PM, Upper Allen Police responded to a hit and run crash at the intersection of Gettysburg Pike and West Lisburn Road. Upon arrival, police determined that the operator of a red, late model Jeep Cherokee, similar to the one pictured above, struck the rear end of a maroon Hyundai Santa Fe. The Santa Fe was stopped for a red light at the intersection. The Jeep Cherokee fled the scene without providing any identifying information. The operator of the Santa Fe was not injured in the crash. Anyone who may have witnessed this crash or that may have any information about this incident is urged to contact the Upper Allen Police at 717-238-9676 or through the anonymous tip line at 717-591-3790.

Commercial Burglary Reported

December 22, 2010

On December 22, 2010, a local landscaping business reported an attempted burglary and trespassing. The incident occurred in the 1st block of Gutshall Lane, Mechanicsburg, PA sometime overnight between December 21st and 22nd. Nothing could be identified as stolen, however damage to the premise was sustained. Anyone with any information is encouraged to contact the Upper Allen Police at 795-2445. Motorcycle Crash Sends Operator to the Hospital

On December 18, 2010 Upper Allen Township Police responded to the intersection of Mt. Allen Drive and East Winding Hill Road for a reported single vehicle crash involving a motorcycle. During the investigation, it was determined that Nitchman was negotiating a turn at that intersection and lost control of the motorcycle causing it to fall on its side. Nitcheman did suffer minor injuries and was transported to Harrisburg Hospital for treatment.
