Three Vehicle Crash Injures One Driver

On January 21, 2015 at 11:57 a.m., Upper Allen Police were dispatched to the US Route 15 south Bowmansdale off-ramp for a report for a vehicle crash. Officers arrived on-scene and identified the operators as Hambright, Jones, and Schulze. An investigation determined that Schulze was attempting to stop in traffic and slid on the snow covered roadway and rear ended Jones’ vehicle. Jones’ vehicle then rear ended Hambright.

Jones sustained minor injury and was transported to Harrisburg Hospital from the scene by Hampden Township EMS.

Attempted Burglary on Cockleys Drive

Sometime between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM on January 4, 2015, an unknown person attempted to force entry into the rear of a home in the 300 block of Cockleys Drive. The suspect was not able to gain entry into the residence. Police are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to contact Upper Allen Police at 717-238-9676. Theft of Projector From Christmas Display

On December 24, Upper Allen Police received a theft report from the 900 block of Bonny Lane. The resident reported that sometime between 6 PM and 9 PM on Christmas Eve, someone stole a laser projector light from their front yard. The light was part of their Christmas display and was valued at approximately $200. Anyone with information pertaining to this investigation is asked to call the Upper Allen Police at 717-795-2445 or submit an anonymous tip via our website.

Sometime during the evening hours of December 24, 2014, an unknown vehicle entered the Winding Hills East Park in Upper Allen Township and drove through the baseball diamond causing damage to the field. 100 Gallon Propane Tank Stolen From Upper Allen Residence

On Wednesday, December 24, 2014 the Upper Allen Police investigated the theft of a 100 gallon propane tank from behind a residence in the 300 block of Stonehedge Lane. The stolen propane tank is similar to the one pictured above. This size tank is typically used to supply home heating appliances. The theft is believed to have occurred between December 15-24.
