Theft of Bomag Compactor from Construction Site

On August 19, 2014, Upper Allen Police received the reported theft of a Bomag BVP 18/45 Plate Compactor, serial number 861834049137, black and yellow in color. The theft occurred from a construction site on Jonagold Circle in the Winding Hills Development between Friday, August 15 at 7 PM and the morning of Monday, August 18. The compactor pictured above is similar to the item stolen. Anyone with information regarding this theft is encouraged to contact Upper Allen Police at 717-238-9676. On August 9, 2014 at 8:23 PM, Upper Allen Police were dispatched to an injury crash on South Market Street at US Route 15. An investigation determined that Crossley turned left from South Market Street onto US Route 15 north into the path of Wilt, who was traveling the opposite direction on South Market Street. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene. All occupants were transported to Harrisburg Hospital for observation. Upper Allen Police were assisted at the scene by the Upper Allen Fire Department, Upper Allen Fire Police and West Shore EMS.

On July 25, 2014 it was reported that a 2000 Honda Civic sedan was stolen from the 1100 block of Lindham Court in Upper Allen Township. The vehicle was discovered missing from the owner’s parking space in front of her residence. The Honda was displaying a New Jersey registration plate, number F50BJC, and described as dark green in color with an Ocean City, New Jersey sticker on the rear bumper.

Medicine Return Box at Upper Allen Police Department

The Upper Allen Police Department would like to announce that a Medicine Return Box is now located in the lobby of the police department. Citizens can use this box to safely and anonymously dispose of unwanted medicine they may have, to include prescription and over-the-counter solid medications, inhalers, creams, ointments, nasal sprays and pet medications.

There is no fee associated with the disposal of these medications and users are asked to either remove all prescription medication labels or place all the pills in a plastic bag. The return box will be available for use during normal business hours (Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM). Liquids are not accepted.

Landscape Trailer with Fuel Tank Stolen Overnight

Sometime overnight a landscape trailer was stolen from a construction site near the intersection of Orchard Boulevard and Old Barn Road. The trailer has a rusty brown 300 gallon diesel fuel tank with a new GPI fuel pump and blue handle. The trailer’s registration is: XCH8048 (Pennsylvania). A suspect vehicle is described as a white dual axle pickup truck with chrome or stainless trim on the tailgate.
