On Thursday, May 16, 2013 at approximately 1:30 PM, Devon Klores was stopped at the traffic light after exiting US Route 15 North onto South Market Street in Upper Allen Township. While waiting at this traffic light, her 2012 Toyota Camry was struck from behind by a 2007 Ford Taurus driven by Robert Dierich, JR. Klores and Dierich both sustained injuries in the crash and were transported to area hospitals by West Shore EMS. A child passenger in Klores’ vehicle was uninjured. Upper Allen Police were assisted on the scene by the Upper Allen Fire Department, Upper Allen Fire Police, and West Shore EMS.

Upper Allen Township Police are on the scene of a reported attempt to lure an elementary aged girl from her driveway into a vehicle. The young girl told her mother who then contacted police. The suspect vehicle is a blue minivan operated by a white male who left the area after the girl declined his offer to get into the vehicle. The incident occurred on Belvedere Drive in the township’s Kimberly Meadows development. No further information is available at this time. On May 13, 2013 Upper Allen Police investigated a reported burglary in the 2800 block of West Rosegarden Boulevard, Upper Allen Township. Sometime between the late evening of May 12, 2013 and the morning of May 13, 2013 a shed was entered, items were moved about, and a window was broken. On April 25, 2013 Upper Allen Police investigated a reported burglary at the Meadowood Apartment complex in the 1000 block of Allendale Road, Upper Allen Township. An office, maintenance shed, and work vehicle were forcibly entered between 5:00 PM on April 24, 2013 and 7:00 AM on April 25, 2013. Various power tools and electronic devices were stolen, valued at over $5,000.00. The following is a partial list of the items stolen:

On May 2, 2013 at 1:19 PM, Upper Allen Police were dispatched to a three vehicle crash at the intersection of South Market Street and East Winding Hill Road. It was determined that a vehicle, operated by Fry, pulled from the stop sign into the path of a vehicle operated by Salomon. The two vehicles collided and then struck a third vehicle that was stopped at the stop sign and was operated by Howard. Fry and Salomon’s vehicles were towed from the scene. Salomon was transported by ambulance for minor injuries.
