On July 24, 2012 Upper Allen Police were called to a residence in the 2800 block of West Rosegarden Boulevard for a reported burglary. The resident reported that during the overnight hours they left their garage door open. The next morning they discovered beverages and money missing from inside the garage. The incident occurred sometime between 2:00 AM and 8:30 AM on July 24. Police urge all residents to be mindful of any unsecured doors or vehicles and the potential to be a victim. On Friday, July 20, 2012 at 10:20 PM Upper Allen Police investigated a residential burglary which had just occurred in the 600 block of Cumberland Pointe Circle, Mechanicsburg. Forced entry was made to a residence through a rear window. Witnesses saw multiple black males running from the scene. On July 16, 2012 Upper Allen Police received a report of a burglary in the 1700 block of South Meadow Drive, Mechanicsburg. While the owners were away the home was entered and prescription medication was stolen. The burglary was to have occurred between the dates of July 6 and July 13. Upper Allen Police responded to a crash involving a bicycle and an automobile at the intersection of Coventry Drive and Canterbury Drive on Monday, July 16, 2012 at 10:47AM. The investigation revealed that the bicyclist, Peter Gutshall, was unable to slow down to negotiate a turn. The bicycle struck the side of the automobile. Gutshall was thrown from the bicycle onto the windshield of the automobile. Gutshall suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Hershey Medical Center by West Shore EMS.

On July 14, 2012 Upper Allen Police responded to a home in the 300 block of East Meadow Drive, Mechanicsburg for a reported burglary. While the owners were away the home was forcibly entered and valuables were stolen. The burglary was to have occurred between the hours of 1:30 PM and 4:40 PM.
