On Sunday, June 24, 2012 at approximately 10:00 AM, Upper Allen Police responded to a two vehicle accident in the 800 block of Williams Grove Road, Mechanicsburg. During the investigation it was determined that Siler veered into the opposing lane of traffic and struck Roberts head on. Both vehicles were severely disabled, and both drivers were transported to Hershey Medical Center for injuries. Police was assisted at the scene by the Upper Allen Fire Department, Mechanicsburg Fire Department, and West Shore EMS.

On Sunday June 17, 2012 Upper Allen Police received a report that an individual tried unsuccessfully to lure a teenage female into his vehicle. The woman reported to police that she was jogging in the 500 block of McCormick Road when she first saw the man in his green Jeep Wrangler. The male driver asked her a few questions in an attempt to strike up a conversation. The woman continued her jog and then encountered the man two additional times in the area of Hertzler Road and Klinedinst Roads. The man attempted to talk her into taking a ride with him both times, but the woman declined.

The driver is described as a white male in his 50’s, large build, with a sleeve tattoo covering his left forearm. The Jeep is believed to be a two door Wrangler in the factory color “Rescue Green” and equipped with a tan hardtop. A similar vehicle is pictured below. On June 18, 2012 @ 9:58 AM Upper Allen Police responded to the scene of an accident involving a bicycle. Rankin was pulling out from 1424 S. Market St., Mechanicsburg to turn right to proceed south on S. Market Street. A bicycle being operated by a juvenile was traveling against traffic, northbound on the southbound shoulder. As Rankin turned the juvenile on the bicycle ran into the front of Rankin’s vehicle. The juvenile sustained minor injuries and was transported to Hershey Medical Center. Police were assisted at the scene by West Shore EMS, Upper Allen Township and Mechanicsburg Fire Departments.

On June 15, 2012 at 4:18 PM Upper Allen Police were dispatched to the 900 block of S. York Street, Mechnicsburg for a reported head on collision involving two vehicles. The crash is still under investigation, however preliminarily it appears Park crossed over in to Rehn’s lane of travel, striking Rehn head on. Park sustained moderate to severe injuries. A passenger in Park’s vehicle also sustained minor injuries. Upper Allen Police were assisted on scene by the Upper Allen and Mechanicsburg Fire Departments, West Shore EMS and Upper Allen Fire Police.

On June 13, 2012 at 6:30 AM a motorcycle operated by Dubois was involved in a crash at the intersection of Cascade Road and Big Horn Avenue, Mechanicsburg. Another vehicle began to pull from the yield sign on Big Horn Avenue which caused Dubois swerve and lay his 2005 Harley Davidson down on the roadway. Dubois sustained minor injuries and was taken to Harrisburg Hospital for an evaluation. The vehicles never collided and there were no other injuries.
