On March 8, 2012 Upper Allen Police responded to a motorcycle crash in the 1200 block of E. Lisburn Rd. A motorcycle operated by Joseph Frey lost control when he attempted to pass another vehicle. Amanda Frey was a passenger. Both received injuries and were treated at the scene by EMS. The motorcycle was disabled.

On March 5, 2012 Upper Allen Police were called to the scene of a two vehicle collision on South Market Street at Gettysburg Pike. Combest was stopped at a red traffic signal southbound on South Market Street. Barneycastle approached from behind in the same direction and failed to stop, running into the rear of Combest’s car. Both Combest and Barneycastle suffered minor injuries, but refused treatment by EMS personnel. Both vehicles were able to be driven from the scene.

Evening Burglary Investigation

On February 27, 2012 Upper Allen Police investigated a residential burglary at Belle Terre Apartments on Geneva Drive, Mechanicsburg. An unknown person forced entry into the residence which was unoccupied at the time. The burglary occurred between 9:00 PM and 10:00 PM. Daytime Residential Burglary Investigated

On February 28, 2012 Upper Allen Police investigated a residential burglary in the 100 block of Kim Acres Drive. The suspect forced entry into the residence which was unoccupied at the time. The burglary occurred between 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM. Police Investigate Animal Cruelty Incident

On February 17, 2011 Upper Allen Police received a report of the intentional shooting of a family pet near the 1st block of Nittany Drive. “Rockey” a 3 year old Maine Coon Cat was shot with a .177 caliber pellet sometime between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM on February 17th. The pellet penetrated the cats neck and lodged near his spine. Rockey’s family was alerted to the shooting when the cat returned home and began howling in pain. Veterinary costs to the family are expected to exceed $1000.00.
