On Monday, February 19, 2024 Upper Allen Police received information that Ruthann Freeland had again violated a Protection From Abuse Order. An investigation determined that Freeland had repeatedly contacted the protected party in violation of the PFA. Freeland was taken into custody later that evening. A hearing has been scheduled for February 27, 2024.

On Wednesday, February 7, 2024, the Upper Allen Police Department received information that Ruthann Freeland had violated a Protection from Abuse Order. During the course of the investigation, a warrant was issued for Freeland’s arrest. On Monday, February 12, 2024, Freeland surrendered to police. A hearing has been scheduled for February 27, 2024.

Dog Found Near Mt. Allen Drive and Pennington Drive

On Tuesday, February 20th, 2024, Upper Allen Police were contacted after the pictured dog was found on Mt. Allen Drive in the area of Pennington Drive. The dog has no collar and was scanned for a chip with no success. Anyone with information regarding the owner(s) of the dog is asked to call the Upper Allen Police at 717-238-9676.

Simple Assault by Physical Menace

On December 17, 2023, Upper Allen Township Police were dispatched to the Cumberland Pointe neighborhood for the report of an assault with shots fired. Police arrived on scene and learned that Littlejohn had engaged in a physical confrontation with a resident, obtained a firearm, and discharged a single round which did not injure anyone. Littlejohn left the area prior to police arrival. The above listed charges were filed against Littlejohn and a preliminary hearing was held on February 8, 2024. All charges were bound over to the Cumberland County Court of common Pleas.

Police Seeking Assistance with Criminal Mischief Investigation

On Monday, February 5, 2024, the Upper Allen Township Police received a report of damaged property at the Winding Hill Park North. Between Saturday, February 3rd and Sunday, February 4th, 2024, one of the basketball court’s asphalt was damaged. It appeared as if a motorized vehicle was performing burnouts, leaving tire marks and gouges in the asphalt.
