Vandalism to a Vehicle in Cedar Ridge

On Friday, July 17, 2020 at approximately 9:30 AM Upper Allen Police were informed by the victim who found their vehicle had been intentionally damaged. The vehicle was parked in the 600 block of Cedar Ridge Lane. The approximate time frame is between 11:30 PM on July 16 and 9:00 AM on July 17. Three Injured in Evening Crash

On July 5 at 6:31 PM, Upper Allen Police responded to a crash with injuries at the intersection of West Lisburn Road and US Route 15. An investigation revealed that Karim failed to yield the right of way to Radhakrishnan, causing a collision. Three people were transported to the hospital as a result. Police were assisted by Geisinger Holy Spirit EMS and the Upper Allen Fire Department.

Early Morning Hit-and-Run Crash Injures One

On Sunday, July 5, 2020, at 2:23 AM, the Upper Allen Police were dispatched to a single vehicle hit-and-run crash on US Route 15 South in the area of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. When police arrived, they determined that the operator of the vehicle had fled the scene. With the assistance of the East Pennsboro Police Department, the operator of the vehicle was identified as Elelona Hodge. The investigation into the crash is still on-going.

Burglary Reported on S. Market Street

On July 2, 2020, the Upper Allen Township Police Department received a residential burglary report in the 1700 block of South Market Street. The victim reported that sometime between between midnight and 6:00 am on July 2nd, that an unknown person entered their residence and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. Testing Rescheduled for the Position of Police Officer

The Upper Allen Police Department has joined with the Cumberland County Police Testing Consortium, a cooperative testing opportunity for those interested in a law enforcement career. This single testing process allows individuals to apply and test one time for all the participating police agencies. There is only one application fee associated with this test. Upper Allen Township is committed to maintaining a current eligibility list but has not committed to hiring at this time.

The 2020 test was originally scheduled for March 28th & 29th. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the test has been rescheduled to August 1st & 2nd, 2020. Existing applicants need not reapply. New applications are being accepted until July 24, 2020.
