Police Investigate Two Vehicle Crash

On Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 9:23 PM Upper Allen Police were dispatched to a two vehicle crash on South Market Street in the area of the US Route 15 north on ramp. The investigation determined that Brudowsky was turning left to enter US Route 15 North and as he crossed the opposite lane of travel he pulled into the path of Holloway, who was traveling north on South Market Street. Holloway was transported by EMS for minor injuries. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Police were assisted by the Upper Allen Fire Department, Upper Allen Fire police and Lower Allen EMS.

Rainy Day Crash Injures One

On Wednesday, September 6 at 7:35 AM, Upper Allen Police were dispatched to a two vehicle crash in the 1st block of Cumberland Parkway. Upon arrival, it was determined that one of the operators sustained a moderate injury and required extrication from the vehicle prior to being transported by EMS personnel. Reisinger was pulling out of the Sheetz store parking lot and turning right onto Cumberland Parkway. At the same time, Hoffman was traveling West on Cumberland Parkway, approaching Reisinger’s location. Hoffman’s vehicle struck Reisinger’s vehicle near the Sheetz exit, creating a partial roadblock obstruction. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and required towing. Upper Allen Police were assisted on the scene by Upper Allen Fire Department, Upper Allen Fire Police, and West Shore EMS.

Upper Allen Police Investigate Missing Person

Upper Allen Police are investigating the disappearance of Leon Smith, 32, from Stonehedge Lane in Upper Allen Township. Police have received information that Smith may be in danger. Police request public assistance in locating Smith and the investigation is ongoing. Contact Upper Allen Police by telephoning (717) 238-9676. UPDATE:
The investigation suggests Leon Smith left Upper Allen Township via taxi and was last seen in the City of Harrisburg shortly after midnight this morning. Smith is considered endangered due in part to unusual phone calls he made to family.

Upper Allen Police are no longer investigating this missing person case. Any information pertaining to Smith’s whereabouts should be referred to Harrisburg City Police at (717) 255-3131.

Leon Smith has been located.

Bicyclist Struck by a Car

On August 23, 2011 Upper Allen Police were dispatched to the 1st block of Hellam Drive for motor vehicle accident involving a bicyclist. Freedman was traveling on Hellam Drive when the juvenile entered the road from a driveway and into the path of Freedman’s vehicle. The juvenile, who was wearing a helmet, was thrown from his bicycle and sustained minor injuries. The juvenile was transported by ambulance to Penn State Hershey Medical Center for treatment. Police were assisted at the scene by the Upper Allen Township Fire Department and West Shore EMS.

Theft of Tools and Bicycle from a House and Garage

On August 18, 2011 Upper Allen Police received a report that a house and detached garage in the 800 block of Herman Drive Extended were entered and various items were taken. Sometime between August 15-18, 2011 the buildings were entered and the following items were stolen: a Husky 26 gallon air compressor model number F2S26VWDVP; a Powermate Generator model number PM0435001 with a Subaru engine, model number EX13D/30D; a men’s Mongoose XR-200 21 speed mountain bike; and a DeWALT XR 18V cordless drill.
