Upper Allen Man Charged With Theft Offense

On July 24, 2025, Upper Allen Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Allendale RD for the report of an active theft. Officers responded and a subsequent investigation revealed that Dustin Pomeroy had stolen a bicycle and concealed it in a nearby wooded area. The bicycle was recovered and returned to the owner. Charges were filed against Pomeroy and a preliminary hearing was held on October 16, 2025, where Pomeroy plead guilty to a lesser offense.

Morning Crash Injures Both Drivers

On Tuesday, November 25th, 2025 at about 8:06 AM, Upper Allen Police responded to a two vehicle crash with injuries at the intersection of S. Market Street and W. Winding Hill Road. An investigation determined that one of the vehicles made a left turn without clearance at the traffic signal resulting in a crash. Both drivers sustained minor injuries. One driver was transported by EMS to Penn State Health Holy Spirit Hospital for further evaluation. Upper Allen Police were assisted at the scene by the Upper Allen Fire Department, Upper Allen Fire Police, and Penn State Health Life Lion EMS.

On November 20, 2025, the Upper Allen Police investigated James Green for having contact with a protected person in violation of a Protection From Abuse (PFA) order. Green surrendered himself to police and was taken into custody on the same day. He was transported to the Cumberland County Central Booking for processing. A hearing will be scheduled at a later date.

On Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 5:27 AM, Police were notified of a crash that occurred in a local convenience store parking lot. Police arrived to find that a vehicle struck and destroyed a tree and a road sign before becoming disabled in the parking lot. Samantha Raebel was determined to be the driver of the vehicle and was found to be impaired from alcohol. Raebel was arrested and transported to Cumberland County Central Booking for processing. A preliminary hearing will be held on a later date.

Upper Allen Man Arrested for a Weapons Offense

On Monday, November 17, 2025, around 2:30 PM, Upper Allen Police were contacted by PA State Parole in reference to finding a firearm in Morris’ residence. Morris is a person not to possess firearms. Officers executed a search warrant, recovered the firearm, and took Morris into custody. He was transported to the Cumberland County Central Booking for processing and arraignment. A preliminary hearing will be scheduled for a later date.
