Police Seek Information on Theft Suspect

On November 6th, 2024 at approximately 10:17 am, the pictured suspect stole a child’s bike from the 900 Block of Gettysburg Pike. The bike is red in color and it was manufactured by Dynatek.

Mechanicsburg Woman Injured in Crash

On Sunday, November 10, 2024, around 12:10 AM, the Upper Allen Police were dispatched to the intersection of Mill Road and Grantham Road for a report of a crash where a vehicle had struck a house. The investigation revealed that a white SUV had failed to stop at the stop sign while traveling north on Mill Road. The white SUV struck a black sedan and then struck a residence. The driver of the black sedan sustained a minor head injury. Both vehicles sustained substantial damage and the residence sustained moderate damage. CH Recovery towed both vehicles from the scene. Upper Allen Fire Department secured the residence from further damage and diverted traffic from the area.

Harrisburg Man Arrested for DUI following a Hit and Run Crash

On Friday, November 8, 2024, at approximately 10:14 PM, the Upper Allen Police were dispatched to a hit and run crash near the intersection of Williams Grove Road and Frost Road. Police located the fleeing vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. An investigation determined that Stack was driving under the influence of alcohol and/or a controlled substance. Additionally, Stack was found to be in possession of marijuana and associated drug paraphernalia. Stack was arrested on scene and transported to Cumberland County Central Booking for processing. A preliminary hearing will be held at a later date. The Upper Allen Police were assisted by the Hampden Township and Mechanicsburg Borough Police Departments.

Upper Allen Man Arrested for Domestic Violence

On Friday, November 8th, 2024 at about 6:15 PM, Upper Allen Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Moorefield Street for an active domestic assault. An investigation determined that George Haas was intoxicated and shoved, restrained, and strangled a female victim. Both Haas and the victim sustained injuries during the altercation. Haas was arrested at the scene and transported to the Cumberland County Central Booking for processing and arraignment. A preliminary hearing will be held at a later date. Upper Allen Police were assisted by Mechanicsburg Borough Police.

Upper Allen Man Resisted Arrest for DUI

On Tuesday, November 05, 2024, at 11:42 PM, Upper Allen Police were dispatched to an active domestic and DUI investigation. The male suspect, later identified as Nicholas Simmons, had been operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, made threats to crash his vehicle, and placed his passenger in fear for her life. An investigation showed that Simmons was under the influence of alcohol to a degree that rendered him incapable of safely operating a vehicle and his operating privilege was suspended. When confronted by officers, Simmons resisted arrest but was promptly taken into custody. Two officers sustained minor injuries during the arrest. Simmons was transported to Cumberland County Central Booking where he was arraigned on the charges. A preliminary hearing will be held at a later date.
