Police Investigate Hit and Run Crash

The Upper Allen Police are investigating a two vehicle crash that happened on Monday, November 7, 2022 at approximately 7:45 AM. The crash occurred on West Lisburn Road in the at the intersection of Fleming Drive. A gray Ford Fusion was struck by a smaller SUV, possibly a green Honda CRV. The striking vehicle fled the scene and probably has damage to the front driver side bumper/fender area. The striking vehicle was last seen traveling east on West Lisburn Road toward US Route 15.

New York Woman Arrested on Drug Charges

On Thursday, November 3, 2022 at approximately 2:20 AM, Upper Allen Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for multiple vehicle code violations. During the traffic stop, it was discovered that Blackmer was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. She was arrested on scene and transported to Cumberland County Central Booking for processing. A preliminary hearing will be held at a later date.

Police Seek Assistance with Burglary Investigation

On Friday, October 28, 2022 at 9:45 PM, Upper Allen Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Haralson Drive to investigate a residential burglary. The victim had arrived home and discovered obvious signs that an unknown actor had been inside of the residence. It is believed that the crime occurred between 10:00 AM and 9:30 PM.

Dillsburg Man Arrested for Retail Theft

In May 2022, Upper Allen Police received a report from a local business that an employee had been caught on a surveillance camera stealing from the store. Fisler was identified as the suspect and charged with the applicable retail theft. On November 3, 2022, Fisler waived his preliminary hearing at the Magisterial District Judge’s office. The case will proceed at the Court of Common Pleas in Carlisle.

Spring Grove Woman Arrested for Theft by Deception

In January 2022, Amanda Rutkowski knowingly sold a defective appliance to a victim on an online marketplace. The appliance was sold in working, like-new condition and it was to have a warranty attached as well. However, Rutkowski had already been reimbursed the full price of the appliance as the warranty company determined it could not be repaired. On November 3, 2022, a preliminary hearing was held and the charges were bound over to the Court of Common Pleas in Carlisle.
