During the overnight hours of July 7th, unknown persons entered an open garage in the 2400 block of Cope Drive. While inside, the suspects took approximately twelve cans of beer from a refrigerator inside the garage. The suspects also entered an unlocked vehicle that was in the garage and stole a GPS unit and a wallet. Anyone with information is urged to contact Upper Allen Police at 717-795-2445 or on the Anonymous Tip Line at 717-591-3790 .

Police would also like to remind everyone to keep their garage doors closed and their vehicles locked so as not to become the victim of a potentially preventable crime.

On Friday July 2, 2010 at 2:15 PM a vehicle operated by a male juvenile was facing a stop sign on Shepherdstown Road at South Market Street. The juvenile failed to yield right-of-way and pulled into the path of a motorcycle being operated by Steven Fisher. Fisher struck the juvenile’s car and was thrown over the hood. Fisher was not wearing a helmet and only complained of pain to the right side of his body and he did not have any observable injury. Fisher was transported to Hershey Medical Center for observation. The Upper Allen Township Fire Department, Upper Allen Township Fire Police and Mechanicsburg Boro Police Department assisted during the investigation. The juvenile was cited for a summary traffic violation.

On Friday June 11, 2010 at 2:39 PM a vehicle operated by a juvenile female ran off Allendale RD in the area of Paris DR. The vehicle struck rocks off the side of the roadway and came to rest on its right side.
With the help of another motorist, the driver got out of the vehicle and was found to only have a minor abrasion from her seat belt. The driver was taken to Harrisburg Hospital by West Shore EMS as a precaution.

During the overnight hours of June 10 through June 11, 2010, the concession pavilion at Community Park, 2000 Fisher Road, was entered and cash was taken. One of the cash boxes, either black or tan in color, was also taken during the theft. The pavilion is mainly used by the Upper Allen Baseball Association. On Thursday, June 10, 2010 at approximately 4:00 PM, a hit and run crash occurred on Cumberland Parkway, immediately next to the exit from the Sheetz. The striking vehicle was a silver or white Ford four door sedan. The vehicle that was struck is pictured above. The striking vehicle entered the Sheetz parking lot, utilized pump number 6 to purchase $20.00 of fuel, then exited the parking lot immediately prior to this crash. After hitting the above pictured vehicle, the striking vehicle then fled the scene and headed East towards US Route 15. The striking vehicle will have moderate to severe damage to its front passenger side area with red paint transfer. Gelnett was the operator of the vehicle which was struck. She sustained minor injuries to her neck and right shoulder.
