Upper Allen Township Police are investigating the theft of approximately $4,000 in construction tools stolen from the Econo Lodge on Gettysburg Road. Sometime between 4:00 PM, Friday March 26, 2010 and 1:00 PM, March 20, 2010, a black truck bed tool box was taken from a construction site behind the Econo Lodge. Upper Allen Police are investigating the burglary of a residence in the 600 block of Cumberland Pointe Circle. Between March 24 and March 25, 2010, a residence was entered and a 32″ Sony LCD television, a 40″ RCA LCD television and an XBox game system were stolen. On March 27, 2010 at approximately 5:01 PM, Upper Allen Police were dispatched to the 700 block of Independence Avenue for a single vehicle auto accident. Officers arrived on the scene and found a vehicle down a small embankment. The operator of the vehicle, Wright, stated that he was coming around a slight curve on Independence Avenue when he lost control of the vehicle and went off of the roadway. Wright was transported to Hershey Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. Upper Allen Police were assisted on scene by West Shore EMS and Upper Allen Fire Department.

On March 24, 2010, Upper Allen Police received a report that an orange 2009 Yamaha YZF R6 motorcycle had been stolen from the lot of the Harrisburg Auto Auction sometime within the last three weeks. The stolen motorcycle is reported to bear serial number JYARJ16E29A010402 and is to be similar to the one pictured above. On March 21, 2010 at 12:15 PM Upper Allen Police were dispatched to the intersection of S. Market Street and E. Winding Hill Road for a traffic accident. Upon arrival it was learned that Fair was traveling east on E. Winding Hill Road, entered the intersection and failed to yield the right of way to Defrain, who was traveling north on S. Market Street. Fair’s vehicle was then struck by Defrain’s, causing disabling damage to Defrain’s vehicle and requiring the vehicle to be towed. Defrain received minor injuries during the crash and was treated on scene by EMS. Police were assisted by the Upper Allen Fire Department and West Shore EMS.
