Philadelphia Man Arrested for Possession with Intent to Deliver Narcotics

On August 17, 2021, at approximately 9:35 AM, Upper Allen Police conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle driven by Claxton for a speeding violation. During the investigation, Claxton was found to be in possession of marijuana, LSD, and psilocybin mushrooms which he had packaged with the intent to sell. Claxton was arrested and taken to Cumberland County Prison for processing. The preliminary hearing for this incident was held on April 6, 2023 and all charges were bound over to county court.

Dog Found on Gettysburg Pike

On Monday, May 8, 2023, around 3:00 PM, the Upper Allen Police were contacted in regards to the above found dog. The dog was found in the 500 block of Gettysburg Pike. The dog has a collar, but no identifying information is displayed. Anyone with information regarding the owner(s) of the dog is asked to call the Upper Allen Police at 717-238-9676.

Harrisburg Man Arrested for Fleeing and Resisting Arrest Following Slow Speed Chase

Obstructing Administration of Law

On April 27, 2023, Upper Allen Police attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle operated by Bucher for a vehicle code violation. Instead of pulling over, Bucher continued driving for four minutes, traveling 1.8 miles, while multiple police cars followed with lights and sirens activated.

Eventually, Bucher pulled into a parking lot where he refused to comply with lawful orders. Bucher was eventually taken into custody and resisted arrest.

Bucher was transported to the Cumberland County Central Booking where he awaits arraignment.

Upper Allen Police were assisted by Lower Allen Police and Pennsylvania State Police.

New York Man Arrested for Child Sexual Exploitation

In May 2022, the Upper Allen Township Police Department began an investigation into the online sexual exploitation of a child who resides in Upper Allen. Detectives identified the suspect as Joshua Valle, from Schenectedy, NY, and discovered he had victimized several other children across the United States. Due to the extent of Joshua Valle’s criminal conduct, the case was referred for federal prosecution by the Department of Homeland Security Investigations. On Friday, April 21, 2023, The United States Attorney’s Office announced that Joshua Valle plead guilty to the federal offenses of Sexual Exploitation of a Child and Possession of Child Pornography. Drug Take Back Day a Success in Upper Allen Township

On April 22, 2023 between the hours 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., Upper Allen Police partnered with the Giant Food Store Pharmacy at 255 Cumberland Parkway to participate in the Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Drug Take Back Day. This event was previously advertised on our website. During the four hour period, eight boxes were filled with various prescription and over-the-counter drugs that were expired, unused, or unwanted. The drugs will be safely destroyed by the DEA.
