Carlisle Man Arrested for Theft, DUI, and Drug Offenses

On Saturday, July 2, 2022 at approximately 3:30 pm the Upper Allen Township Police Department responded to a motorcycle crash in the 1700 block of South Market Street. It was determined that motorcycle operator had struck a roadside guide rail and was ejected from the motorcycle into a ditch on the side of the roadway. The operator was transported to Holy Spirit Hospital for treatment. See previous release here.

An investigation determined that Nulton was under the combined influence of several drugs causing the crash. The motorcycle was found to be reported stolen out of Maryland and his operating privilege was revoked due to prior DUI convictions. A warrant was issued for Nulton and he was arraigned on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 and committed to the Cumberland County Prison. A preliminary hearing will be held at a later date.

Upper Allen Woman Charged with Neglect of Animal

On Friday, January 22nd, 2022 at around 11:13 PM, Upper Allen Police investigated a barking dog complaint. During the course of the investigation officers determined that two dogs had been left outside without adequate shelter for an extended period of time in temperatures around 6 degrees. Officers attempted to make contact with the owner, determined to be Venessa Henry, for an extended period of time before she was successfully contacted. At a preliminary hearing on June 23rd, Henry plead guilty to the charge of Neglect of Animal.

Motorcycle Crash Injures Upper Allen Woman

On July 23, 2022 at about 11:30 a.m., Upper Allen Police responded to a motorcycle crash on US Route 15 south just south of the Bowmansdale Exit. Officers arrived on-scene and determined that a woman operating a motorcycle attempted to stop for slowed traffic in the area. While attempting to do so, she lost control and fell from the motorcycle. The woman sustained moderate injury was transported to Holy Spirit Hospital by Penn State/Holy Spirit EMS.

The Upper Allen Fire Department assisted at the scene.

Vehicle Stolen Overnight **RECOVERED**

On Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at approximately 4:35 PM Upper Allen Police were dispatched to a business in the 900 block of South York Street for the report of a vehicle stolen overnight. The investigation determined that the vehicle was stolen from the business at approximately 12:25 AM. The stolen vehicle is a silver 2007 Hyundai Sonata bearing PA registration JRH8446 and VIN 5NPET46CX7H256567. This particular Hyundai Sonata has several unique identifiers such as a cracked passenger side mirror, a dent on the passenger side rear quarter panel, and a Platinum Pre-Owned sticker on the trunk.

Lemoyne Man Arrested for Retail Theft

On April 23, 2022 Upper Allen Police began investigating multiple retail thefts that took place at a local business over several months between January 2022 and March 2022. During the investigation Joseph Carduff was identified as a suspect and subsequently charged. On July 14, 2022 Carduff appeared for a preliminary hearing and plead guilty to a lesser offense.
