Motorcycle Crash Results in Minor Injury

On February 15, 2023 at approximately 11:32 p.m., Upper Allen Police were dispatched to US Route 15 north near mile marker 37.4 for a motorcycle crash. Upon arrival police learned that the operator had lost control, crashed his motorcycle, and sustained a minor injury. The operator declined medical transport to the hospital for further evaluation. Upper Allen Police were assisted by Penn State Health Life Lion EMS.

On November 5, 2022 at approximately 10:25 p.m. a vehicle was clocked traveling at over 100 mph on US Route 15. Upper Allen Police attempted a traffic stop, however the vehicle fled. The subsequent investigation determined that Joshua Wicks was the operator and that he had been driving without a valid license. The preliminary hearing for this incident was scheduled for December 15, 2022. At that time, Wicks waived his right to a preliminary hearing.

Russell Terrier Reported Lost

On Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at approximately 10:00 PM, Upper Allen Police were contacted about a lost dog. The dog, pictured above, is a brown and white Jack Russell Terrier named Baxter. Baxter is blind and deaf and was last seen in the 1st block of Pine Tree Drive around 8:00 PM. Anyone with information regarding the lost dog is asked to call the Upper Allen Police at 717-238-9676.

On February 25, 2022, Upper Allen Township Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on US Route 15 North. The operator was identified as the defendant, April Brinton. A subsequent investigation determined that Brinton was in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. On Thursday, October 27, 2022, a preliminary hearing was held and Brinton plead guilty to lesser offenses.

On Saturday, August 6, 2022 at approximately 12:16 PM, Upper Allen Police responded to a single vehicle crash in the 1st block of Gettysburg Pike. It was determined that the operator, William Logan, had struck a roadside guide rail. At the time, the operator was transported to Holy Spirit Hospital for medical treatment. The investigation determined that at the time of the crash, William Logan had operated his vehicle with a blood alcohol level above the legal limit. Charges were subsequently filed and Logan waived his right to a preliminary hearing and all charges have been bound over to the Court of Common Pleas.
