On Sunday, December 8, 2024, Upper Allen Township Police were dispatched to 500 Geneva Drive for a report of an active fight with a firearm involved. When officers arrived, they found that a physical fight had taken place between Heriberto Pagan-Maldonado, Marisol Muniz, and several victims. Police found evidence that showed the physical fight escalated when Marisol Muniz tried to attack a victim with a knife and a tire iron. Muniz also stole a purse from one of the victims during the attack. During the attack, Heriberto Pagan-Maldonado retrieved a firearm and fired several shots at one of the victims. The victim was not struck by any of the gun shots, but an occupied apartment building was struck twice.

Heriberto Pagan-Maldonado and Marisol Muniz were both arrested and transported to Cumberland County Central Booking for arraignment. Pagan-Maldonado and Muniz were both arraigned and bail was denied. A preliminary hearing will be held in the near future. Upper Allen Township Police were assisted by the Lower Allen Township Police Department.

Upper Allen Police Participate in 2024 Female Mentoring Event

On November 27, 2024, Upper Allen Police participated in the 2024 Female Mentoring event at Pink Hands of Hope in Mechanicsburg. This is the 8th year that this event has been held and it pairs local law enforcement professionals with Cumberland/Perry Vo-Tech female Criminal Justice students. Police Officers, State Troopers, District Attorneys, 911 Dispatchers and others were able to show the female students all the careers that are available in law enforcement. Upper Allen Police and other law enforcement professionals spent the day mentoring these female students while also shopping at Pink Hands for Hope thrift store in Mechanicsburg.

Camp Hill Man Arrested for Theft

On Wednesday, June 26, 2024, the Upper Allen Police investigated the theft of a commercial trailer from a local business. The investigation determined that Ismaeil Bachar had stolen the trailer and had been utilizing it for his own private trucking business. Charges were filed against Bachar and preliminary hearing was held on Thursday, November 14, 2024. Bachar waived the preliminary hearing and the charges were bound over to the Cumberland County Court of Commons Pleas.

Mechanicsburg Man Arrested for Unlawful Contact with a Minor

In April of 2024, the Upper Allen Township Police Department was contact by a local business who had received information that Bausher had been inappropriately communicating with female employees, to include juveniles. The business had terminated Bausher’s employment status and a police investigation began. Through the investigation, it was confirmed that Bausher had requested sexual content from a juvenile. A warrant for Bausher’s arrest was obtained and he was taken into custody without incident on November 20, 2023. A preliminary hearing will be held at a later date.

Man Arrested for Trespassing at a Residence

On Friday, November 15, 2024, Upper Allen Police were dispatched to a residence in Upper Allen Township for the report of a trespasser. The suspect was identified as Raymond Castiglia Jr. and he was located a short distance from the home. During the course of the investigation it was determined that Castiglia entered a residence after being denied entry. It was also reported that Castiglia threatened a victim while inside the residence. Castiglia was ultimately arrested and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for a later date. Upper Allen Police were assisted by the Mechanicsburg Borough Police Department.
