DUI Enforcement
Our commitment to road safety is demonstrated by our consistent recognition for DUI enforcement. We regularly conduct DUI checkpoints and roving patrols throughout Upper Allen Township and participate in county-wide initiatives. These efforts are closely coordinated with the Cumberland County Office of the District Attorney and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, all aimed at significantly reducing alcohol-related accidents, injuries, and fatalities.
Crash Reconstruction

Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC)

The Upper Allen Police Department is proud to be a charter member of the Cumberland County Drug Task Force. Since its establishment in the early 1980s, we have consistently assigned officers to this vital team, working diligently to combat drug-related crime and enhance public safety.
Crime Scene Forensics
Our department includes officers who are highly trained in crime scene forensics, specializing in the precise science of evidence collection and crime scene preservation. Our officers partner with the the Cumberland County Forensic Team, which responds to major crime scenes throughout the county, ensuring thorough and accurate investigations.
Special Response Team (SRT)
The Upper Allen Police Department contributes officers to the highly-trained Cumberland County Special Response Team (SRT). This elite tactical unit is prepared to handle high-risk situations such as hostage scenarios, barricaded gunmen, and other critical incidents across the county, ensuring a professional and effective response when it’s needed most.
Bike Patrol
Our Bike Patrol Officers are a visible and accessible part of our community policing efforts. Operating in easily recognizable uniforms and equipped with full radio communication, they patrol residential neighborhoods and business areas. Their ability to operate discreetly at any time of day or night, coupled with their easy access to various locations, effectively complements our traditional patrol and enforcement activities, fostering stronger community connections and enhancing our ability to respond.
