On June 18, 2012 @ 9:58 AM Upper Allen Police responded to the scene of an accident involving a bicycle. Rankin was pulling out from 1424 S. Market St., Mechanicsburg to turn right to proceed south on S. Market Street. A bicycle being operated by a juvenile was traveling against traffic, northbound on the southbound shoulder. As Rankin turned the juvenile on the bicycle ran into the front of Rankin’s vehicle. The juvenile sustained minor injuries and was transported to Hershey Medical Center. Police were assisted at the scene by West Shore EMS, Upper Allen Township and Mechanicsburg Fire Departments.
