On Friday, April 27, 2018 the Upper Allen Police responded to a three vehicle crash in the northbound lanes of US Route 15, just prior to the Winding Hill Road exit. The investigation revealed that Shaffer stopped in the left lane of US Route 15 due to the heavy morning traffic. Bullard failed to stop her vehicle in time and struck the rear end of the juvenile operator’s vehicle, which was then pushed into the rear end of Shaffer’s vehicle. Bullard and her front seat passenger sustained minor injuries from the airbag deployment in her vehicle, but refused EMS assessment. None of the other operators of passengers reported any injuries. Police would like to remind all motorists to be patient while driving in heavy traffic volumes and allow plenty of space between vehicles to allow for stopping distance.
