The Upper Allen Police have received numerous reports of a black bear roaming in the area of Winding Hill Drive. The first bear sighting was on November 11, 2015 in the area of Granada Lane. The last reported sighting was on Winding Hill Drive on November 13, 2015 at approximately 9:00 PM.
There have been no reports of the bear being hostile or aggressive at this time. Residents are asked to move trash containers and bird feeders inside, so as not to attract the bear. If the bear is seen, do not approach the bear or attempt to confine the bear in any way.
Residents are asked to call Upper Allen Police via 9-1-1 or 717-238-9676 regarding any concerns about public safety.
