On Friday, October 12, 2018 at 10:10 AM, the Upper Allen Police responded to a two vehicle crash at the end of the entrance ramp from South Market Street to US Route 15 northbound. The investigation revealed that Knaub had stopped her vehicle at the end of the entrance ramp prior to merging due to traffic congestion. Peslis was also attempting enter US Route 15 via the same entrance ramp and failed to notice that Knaub’s vehicle was stopped.
Peslis’ vehicle struck the rear of Knaub’s vehicle, which caused severe damage to both vehicles and forced Knaub’s vehicle onto the shoulder of the roadway. Both Knaub and Peslis reported injuries from the crash and were evaluated by Holy Spirit EMS, but declined transport. The Upper Allen Police were assisted at the scene by the Upper Allen Fire Department and the Lower Allen Fire Department.
