Upper Allen Police are investigating an apartment burglary in the 500 block of Geneva Drive. Sometime between 9:30 AM and 5:45 PM on Sunday, February 24, 2013 an unknown person entered an apartment and removed personal property belonging to the residents. A checkbook and a personal identification document were the items reported missing. On February 5, 2013 Upper Allen Police responded to a crash at the intersection of S. Market Street and Kim Acres Drive. The investigation determined that Lewis failed to yield the right of way to Shore’s car when turning left onto Kim Acres Drive from S. Market Street. Both cars were disabled. Lewis was transported by West Shore EMS to Holy Spirit Hospital for her injuries.

On February 15, 2013 @ 1:35 PM, Upper Allen Police responded to a crash in the 500 block of Independence Avenue. Rodriguez-Perez was operating a Toyota Tercel and attempted to pass a tractor trailer that was attempting to make a left turn. The Toyota and tractor trailer collided, causing the Toyota to spin 180 degrees. The Toyota suffered disabling damage on the passenger side. The tractor trailer did not have any visible damage. Rodriguez-Perez suffered minor injuries and was transported to Harrisburg Hospital by ambulance.

On February 8, 2013 @ 1:40 PM Upper Allen Police responded to a single vehicle crash in the 900 block of Williams Grove Road, Mechanicsburg. Giarth, who was driving a Ford Escape, attempted to pass traffic that was stopped in front of her. Giarth lost control on wet grass and continued to slide until striking a large rock in the front yard of a residence. Giarth suffered minor injures and was transported from the scene by ambulance. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Hess Garage.

On February 3, 2013 at 10:30 AM, Upper Allen Police received a report that two bicycles were stolen from the front lawn of a residence in the 800 block of Grantham Road, Mechanicsburg. During the investigation, officers learned that a nearby surveillance system recorded the theft. The video footage showed that February 2, 2013 at about 11:55 PM, two people walking with a dog, walked into the yard and stole the bicycles.
