Attempted Theft of Catalytic Converter from Disabled Vehicle on US Route 15

Between 1:30 pm on Friday, August 5, 2022, and 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 6, 2022, a silver Honda CRV was disabled on US Route 15 north in the area of the West Lisburn Road exit. During the time it was parked on the shoulder, someone attempted to cut the vehicle’s catalytic converter off the car.

Single Vehicle Crash Under Investigation

On Saturday, August 6, 2022 at approximately 12:16 PM, Upper Allen Police responded to a single vehicle crash in the 1st block of Gettysburg Pike. It was determined that the operator had struck a roadside guide rail. The operator was transported to Holy Spirit Hospital for treatment. Upper Allen Police were assisted on scene by Penn State Health EMS, the Upper Allen Fire Department, and the Upper Allen Fire Police.

Multiple Vehicles Entered and One Vehicle Stolen Overnight

On Thursday, August 4, 2022 at approximately 10:39 AM Upper Allen Police received multiple reports of vehicles being entered and a stolen vehicle in the 300 and 400 block of Stonehedge Lane. The investigation determined that the thefts occurred during the overnight hours of August 3rd to August 4th. The stolen vehicle is a gray 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe bearing PA registration LSG6182 with the VIN: 5NMSG13D89H308863, which is pictured below.

Upper Allen Police Attend National Night Out Events Throughout Township

On August 2, 2022, which is nationally recognized as National Night Out, Upper Allen Police attended a large-scale event at 1225 South Market Street along with numerous other community groups and organizations. Child ID cards were created for children and their parents.

Upper Allen Police were also invited to attend a neighborhood block party in Creekstone Manor.

Upper Allen Police were grateful for the opportunities to positively engage with the community we serve.

**Reunited with Owner** Dog Found Near Messiah University

**The dog has been reunited with its owner.**

On Sunday, July 31, 2022 at 10:35 AM, Upper Allen Police were contacted regarding a found dog (pictured above). The dog was found in the 600 block of Grantham RD near Messiah University. The dog is a young female black lab and is friendly. The dog is not chipped and was not wearing a collar when found.
