On October 13, 2011 Upper Allen Police received a fraud report wherein the victim’s bank card was compromised by the use of a credit card skimmer. A card skimmer can copy the contents of the magnetic strip on debit or credit cards which can then be transferred to a new blank card for use. On October 11, 2011 the suspect used the fraudulent card in an Apple retail store in the Orland Square Mall, Ohio to purchase a white Apple iPad 2 WiFi (16 GB), model MC979LL/A, serial number DN6G8HXADKPH. The above photo is similar to the model that was purchased. Anyone with information is asked to contact Upper Allen Police at 717-795-2445. An anonymous tip line is also available at 717-591-3790.
