On Monday, December 11, 2023 at approximately 1:05 AM, Upper Allen Police were dispatched to a residence in the 1700 block of Shady Lane for a report of an assault that had just occurred. Officers arrived on scene and spoke to multiple witnesses who stated that Venkat Vidiyala had assaulted a resident while visiting. An arrest warrant was obtained and Vidiyala was taken into custody on Friday, December 15, 2023. He was transported to Cumberland County Central Booking where he was arraigned and committed on $50,000 bail. A preliminary hearing will be scheduled for a later date.
